Trigger Point Myotherapy

Myotherapy goes beyond rubbing tight, sore muscles to relieve stress and promote relaxation. The goal of myotherapy is to achieve overall muscle balance, postural alignment and bio mechanics. Myotherapy seeks to identify and eliminate "perpetuating factors" in the horse's environment, which cause and prolong muscle dysfunction. Massage is only one element of our comprehensive therapeutic program that includes muscle memory reeducation. Muscle memory reeducation is accomplished by employing a system of passive and active stretching, corrective movements and therapeutic exercise programs.

These techniques can enhance the performance of horse in any discipline and all areas of work; from dressage, jumping, roping, sorting, racing etc.

The non-invasive application of myotherapy enhances performance; reduces stress, promotes flexibility, increases endurance and accelerates injury normalization.

Cold Laser Therapy

Cold Laser Therapy is Photo or light therapy. This uses the natural healing properties of the red and near infrared end of the light spectrum. Cold Laser Therapy is not a form of thermal or heat therapy. Cold Lasers DO NOT emit harmful X-Ray radiation.

How does it work?

Much like photosynthesis creates energy in plant cells in order for them to produce chlorophyll, the light rays emitted by the cold laser penetrate down beneath the skin, approximately two inches into the underlying tissues to stimulate healing at the cellular level.

What does it do?

Clinical Research has proven that there are three main effects: Inflammation reduction, pain reduction, and healing, including bacterial, viral and fungal infections. it has been shown that cold laser therapy can speed the healing process by one-half to two-thirds.

What Conditions can be treated?

  • Acute Recent Trauma/Damage/Injuries
  • Chronic Pain
  • Muscle/Tendon/Ligament injuries
  • Scar Tissue
  • Inflammation
  • Nerve Damage
  • Bone Healing
  • Infections
  • Tedonitis
  • Cellulitis

Note: Please have sick or injured animals examined, diagnosed and treated by a licensed veterinarian.

Cold laser treatment must be prescribed or cleared by the treating veterinarian. Although thousands of clinical applications have demonstrated that cold laser therapy has been successful, no claim can be made on its anticipated outcome of treatment.
